Summery:
In Casino Royale, newly-promoted MI6 agent James Bond earns his "00" status after assassinating two traitors. His first major mission is to stop Le Chiffre, a private banker who funds terrorism, by bankrupting him in a high-stakes poker game. Le Chiffre is in dire straits after losing $100 million of his clients' money, and his only hope to recover is by winning the tournament at Casino Royale in Montenegro.
Bond's mission begins in Madagascar, where he kills a bomb maker linked to Le Chiffre. His investigation leads him to the Bahamas, where he encounters Alex Dimitrios, who is working with Le Chiffre. After killing Dimitrios and preventing a bomb plot at Miami Airport, Bond is entered into Le Chiffre's poker game with the help of Treasury agent Vesper Lynd.
The tournament is intense, and Bond faces danger not only at the poker table but also from Le Chiffre’s violent associates. After an early loss, Bond is financially bailed out by CIA agent Felix Leiter, allowing him to continue playing. Bond’s keen skills eventually win him the game, securing the funds and putting Le Chiffre in a perilous situation.
However, Bond’s victory is short-lived. Le Chiffre kidnaps Vesper to lure Bond into a trap. Bond is tortured but refuses to give up the bank account password. Just when it seems all is lost, Mr. White, a mysterious figure, kills Le Chiffre and spares Bond.
Recovering from the ordeal, Bond falls in love with Vesper, only to discover that she has been working for Le Chiffre’s organization to save her former lover. In a tragic turn, Vesper sacrifices herself, leaving Bond heartbroken but resolute. Determined to uncover the shadowy organization behind the plot, Bond tracks down Mr. White, introducing himself with the iconic line: “The name’s Bond, James Bond.”
